A wart is a small growth on the skin caused by infection with a virus. Warts may develop alone or as a group.
Symptoms
One may notice a callus, pinpoint black dots in the lesion and/or pain may develop. The lesion may multiply or grow over time.

Your doctor may examine your foot and/or take a biopsy.
Treatments
The goal of treatment is to completely remove the wart. Topical or oral treatments, laser therapy, freezing, acid treatments, or surgery may be recommended. Regardless of the treatment, careful attention to instructions is important and follow up may be recommended to ensure that the treatment has worked properly.
